Coal Mine Methane Production in Union & Webster Counties, Kentucky

Core Minerals Operating Co., Inc. has released production information for the initial phase of their coal mine methane pilot project in the Boxville east area of Union & Webster Counties, Kentucky. In Union County they have completed four wells in sections 7, 8 & IO-N-21 with initial flow rates ranging from 470 to 550 MCFGPD. (See W KY progress report for detail information). In section 13-N-22, Webster County Core Minerals has completed their #8-13-01 T Geiger Minerals, LLC & Bill S. Gough, LLC, 1114'FNL 1890'FEL, for 1,244 MCFGPD and their #8-13-01R Geiger Minerals, LLC & Bill S. Gough, LLC, 2492'FNL 988'FEL, for 2,194 MCFGPD. These wells are producing gas from the #9 coal mine void at a depth of300-400'+-. Additional coal mine and coal bed methane projects are being planned by Core on this 30,000 acre block.
