The process of exploring for oil and gas reserves and optimizing existing wells requires the expertise to analyze multi-variable geological, geophysical, engineering, and technical data. Members of Core Minerals’ Technical Team are rejuvenating the Illinois Basin by integrating their proven knowledge with modern technologies to enhance production and to develop unconventional reserves.

Led by Mike McLear, Vice President, and Rick Sumner, Senior Geologist, the Core Technical Team of engineers and geologists are applying advanced seismic imaging, innovative drilling and completion technologies, and enhanced recovery techniques to optimize marginally economic wells and to develop new energy resources.
